How it began…
A conversation whilst loading some boxes in a rainy Manchester car park led to of all things - a poetry book!
Jolene’s poetry which she volunteered with typical modesty really blew Chris away when he read it. He wanted to put images to the paintings the words realised in his mind. Whilst not a traditional illustrator as a graphic designer of 25 years the varied styles throughout the book are carefully matched to Jolene’s wonderfully eloquent poems. This project has taken two and a half years to lovingly put together in spare time. The relaxed pace suited both creative minds as both Jolene and Chris have busy lifestyles and bill paying work commitments!
Now they’d like to share what they’ve made with a wider audience. A tangible hardback book with full colour pictures to give these poems a home. It’s never been about selling vast quantities, more about making something precious people will love. The price point is a little higher than a book store as we only print short runs. It’s a unique product featuring colour illustrations throughout. Whether as a thoughtful gift or for personal moments of calm.
